AMSTERDAM!!! I have never been there before so this was my first time. After finishing uni in Scotland last July, seeing my Scottish besties Anna and Kerry everyday wasn't an option anymore. I moved back to Estonia, Anna moved to Amsterdam to be an au pair and Kerry stayed in her hometown in Scotland. Therefore, this March we decided to meet up in Amsterdam so we could catch up and me and Kerry could explore Amsterdam while we're at it. Anna had to work during the day, but she still made time to see us in the evenings and whenever the kids were in kindergarten/school etc. We arrived on Monday afternoon, settled in at the hotel, saw Anna for a few hours and made plans for the days ahead. After, me and Kerry went to get dinner and walk around in city centre a little bit. Later, we met up with Anna and her friend Hannah to get some beers and have a proper catch up, which was basically it for the day.
On Tuesday me and Kerry went to this hipster breakfast place called The Breakfast Club. We also went to see the iAmsterdam sign, did a little bit of shopping (OK a lot😁) and just explored the city centre. After a tiring day of walking around we went back to the hotel to freshen up and later we met up with Anna and Hannah again to go to this really cool food court place, which had loads of different food stalls and live music. It was buzzing with people and it was so hard to choose what to eat cause everything looked amazing. Just before everything started closing down we decided on chicken kebab pitas and they were the best choice ever - so yummie!
On Wednesday morning me and Kerry wanted to get pancakes and Anna suggested we try Mook pancakes (apparently they're the best in Amsterdam), so of course we had to get them. I got mine with berries and chocolate and Kerry got hers with maple syrup and bacon. FOOD COMA! I think we sat there for like 2 hours cause we were so full and it was pouring rain outside so we didn't want to leave haha. Also, we didn't know what to do for the rest of the day, but we decided to go check out the Central Station and meet Anna there to go to the north Amsterdam. We had to take a free 5-minute ferry to get to the north side and it was so different from the city centre. It was so much more quiet and residential. As it was still raining we didn't want to walk around for ages so we stepped into the first bar/cafe we saw. Anna had been talking about these weird deep fried mashed potato and meat balls, called bitterballen, for ages so we figured it was the perfect time to try them. They were definitely weird, but also tasty haha.  After it had stopped raining we went back to the city center and go for a walk in one of the biggest parks in the city - Vondelpark. I honestly felt like I was on a tropical island or something cause we saw parrots and other birds I've never seen before - like helllooo? do you not like warmth? Later on we went for dinner (pizza and beers hehe), but we also went to see the Red Light District. I was honestly shocked - I never thought it would be as bad as it was. But whatever, don't even wanna think about it.
Sadly this was our last night in Amsterdam. On Thursday Kerry had to catch her flight and I had to get on my bus to Brussels (post coming soon!), but it was so good seeing my Scottish girls again! Hopefully you like the vlog - this is the first time I've ever filmed and edited a video myself so be nice haha! PS: Sorry for the long post. Peace 🖤

AMSTERDAM!!! Me jõudsime Amsterdami esmaspäeva pärastlõunal, seadsime end hotellis sisse, nägime Annat paar tundi ja tegime järgmisteks päevadeks plaani. Hiljem läksime me Kerryga õhtust sööma ja natuke linna avastama. Rohkemat me see päev ei teinudki.
Teisipäeval me läksime Kerryga ühte väga hipster hommikusöögikohta The Breakfast Club, nägime ära iAmsterdam kirja? sildi? vaatamisväärsuse?, natuke (OKEI palju😁) shoppasime ja jalutasime linnas niisama ringi.
TOIDUKOOMA!
Peace 🖤
